Put together two high jinx young ones...their clown of a French Bulldog...a dozen plus dog lovin' friends and relatives...a Sunday in April when it isn't raining and a dog friendly restaurant which would be only in Hillcrest and it's a Canine Birthday Party in the making

I really couldn't believe Oliver was a whole year old...I could remember when the little runt could fit in two hands and everything about him was adorable except his farts

Danielle had moved twice to keep him and keep him happy First to City Height right near the park...then to Hillcrest

None

Blaine and Danielle loved both areas. Especially the walk around everything is nearby aspect of the places. It was common for them to drop into Lancers for a nightly drink and visit with friends. Blaine sometimes bartended when the owners were in a pinch for help...it was even fun dragging Oliver over to the park on a leash..

What a spoiled puppy!!

We began to think he'd never leash train....Frenchie's can be so stubborn!!

Now that they live in Hillcrest Alibi's is the neighborhood drop in spot....cheap drinks ...great music on the juke box and outdoor seating...a dog friendly bar!!!

Well i never!!!

The party was Brunch at Babbo's Bar and Grille

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Babbos-Bar-and-Grille/144523062314201

A great little place on Park Ave with outdoor seating on a front patio and a waiter who literally jumped thru hoops to make us all happy

Tony Lucci was our waiter...the owner's son who deserved and got a hefty tip...and some dog kisses from Oliver

It's been a long time since i've had so much fun...i felt like i was back in San Francisco again...the ambiance of the place was so similar

A scrumptious Birthday breakfast was had by all including Oliver but his table manners are atrocious

Whether you're having a doggie party or not try Babbo's...the foods great and the people serving there are too

Twister May 3, 2012 @ 10:06 a.m.

Now I have one more reason to despise facebook; when I clicked on the link and had read a little about it, Big Brother popped up "advising" me that I wasn't logged in. I hope Babbo's has its own website; it's on my bike route to Balboa Park. Grrrrr!

Twister May 4, 2012 @ 3:43 p.m.

A friend of mine who worked at University Hospital knew of a case of a couple of a certain culture with a low tolerance for sexual oddities who came in for fertility work. They found that the "woman" had testicles inside while outwardly "she" had all the right female equipment, so to speak. They decided to simply tell the couple that they were sorry, but there was nothing that could be done rather than to risk breaking up a happy marriage. They decided to lie to let sleeping dogs lie.

Maybe Oliver should be Olivia? But really, why remove them?

What else are Frenchies prone to?

interesting Twister...not a true hermaphrodite but working on it eh

Oliver was a smaller price because it was thought early on that his testicles wouldn't descend...but the chance of undescended testicles in dogs getting cancer on them is 80% so they have to be removed

the cost is many hundreds of dollars

Frenchies haven't any more genetic chance of it then any other purebred dog

they are however well known 4 being stubborn and 4 farting a lot...lol

many have very delicate digestion...Oliver does...the poor baby came to Danielle with 2 different kinds of parasites and worms (hook and round)

i took care of him for 2 different rounds of medication (7 weeks in total) while Danielle worked and moved to better dog friendly surroundings

she and Blaine have made many sacrifices 4 the little fellow...but he's SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO worth it!!

he's a very special little dog!!
