On a forum that shall here remain nameless, I met a woman whose nick is skennerl, smart and funny, and as it turns out, a friend. She will be dropping by, so hope you will all say hello. I leave it to her what personal details to share. If you all will wait for her to do the first add, that would only be the fair and polite thing to do, we want to give a good appearance. So go and tidy up your rooms, children, company's coming!

CuddleFish Oct. 30, 2009 @ 8:56 p.m.

Skenn can tell you all my deepest darkest secrets from another forum we were on together! Some of you were interested in knowing my past! LOL ;)

And, you all can tell her what a bad girl I've been here! It won't surprise her at all to know!! :)

0

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 3:12 a.m.

What surprises me most is seeing people refer to you as "Cuddles" ROFL!!!!

Fish (may I skip the cuddly bit) had the misfortune of being a member of a forum that was 90% ignorant, with most of the forum contributors in gangs of goody two shoes who spent all their time blowing icing sugar up each others' arses.

Fish would present well reasoned discussions - but they...just... didn't... 'get it'.

So they became easy targets - and were so predictable! We had some fun hey Fish!

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 6:09 a.m.

We did have a lot of fun, my dear skenn, we did indeed! And we will have fun here too, I hope!! Same sort of mentalities every where you go, sweetheart!! Though I must say, there are a few people here that at least have a brain, and actually use it. :)

I know, Cuddles, can you think of anything more inappropriate???

Please by all means do skip the Cuddles!! ROFLMFAO xxxxxxxxx

0

magicsfive Oct. 31, 2009 @ 6:36 a.m.

skip nothing! do tell!! ;) happy halloween btw :)

0

SDaniels Oct. 31, 2009 @ 7:01 a.m.

Hi skennerl, so this is some kind of--'visit?' Or are you announcing that you'll be starting a blog? Either way, welcome :)

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 7:32 a.m.

Ooooh Happy Halloween to you too, magicsfive! Do they have Halloween down your way, sken?

As to her starting a blog, I'm hoping I can persuade her, sken is a fabulous writer, I always thought she should be writing for a magazine. As to her length of stay, what say you, sken?

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 7:57 a.m.

Oooh, sken, I just remembered, what did you call our friend on the forum?

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 9:45 a.m.

Bless your heart, nan!!! xxxx

How is Bobby doing?

Joe, what a great idea, a slumber party!!! :)

I don't know about sken's pets, it had been a while since we chatted, will have to let her tell you herself. As I said in earlier post, she lives in another part of the world, so will have to pick her times to respond.

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 4 p.m.

I don't know that I am THAT great a writer; I'm a little embarrassed to write now in case I disappoint! I only 'get going' when there is an issue I have a strong opinion about, and I haven't written an essay since high school.

Anyway nice to meet you all! Whether I stay or not - don't know - forum's waste so much time, of which I have little to spare.

Where are the 'hot' issues being discussed here? Where are the best arguments? I'm good at those! LOL

I have a dog.

0

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 4:08 p.m.

Fish - yeah I remember the banshee comment - but worse - I REMEMBER THE PHOTO AAARGH! ROFL!

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 4:09 p.m.

LOL@ arguments, you always had the sense to keep out of them as I recall! Sken, on the home page, you will see all the new stories, blog entries, pick and choose and add away! You can always add to any threads here on the forum. They don't have a list of threads, I asked them a while back, but hasn't happened so it's kind of hit-and-miss which threads you will find to interest you.

Nan's are always funny, Adam's cat Stella has a journal, there's mine on just about every topic nearly every day, and there are the staff blogs. Just look around, and see what tickles your fancy. Or start your own blog and post an entry, we will comment on yours. :)

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 4:13 p.m.

Oh that's right, it was the picture that set you off!!! LOLOLOL

Loved that expression!!!

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 4:37 p.m.

Well on the topic of "good writing" check this out...

You will all of course heard of Andre Agassi's 'autobiography' and in particular the revelation that he used drugs - worse - ICE. But the latest out of the 'autobiography' is that he wore a wig on court when he started losing his hair. ROFL LMAO

Here's a quote: "With each leap, I imagine it falling into the sand. I imagine millions of spectators move closer to their TV sets, their eyes widening and, in dozens of dialects and languages, ask how Andre Agassi's hair has fallen from his head."

or how about this:

"Every morning I would get up and find another piece of my identity on the pillow, in the wash basin, down the plughole,' he wrote."

so bad it makes me laugh/cringe/cry simultaneously!!!!!!!!!!

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 4:39 p.m.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!! That is toooooo funny!!!!!!

Men, hey???

0

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 6:31 p.m.

I was rather making a point about the writer's style! I wouldn't want that person writing my 'autobiography' - and I use italics because a true autobiography is written by the subject. Surely he could have found someone with a bit more substance.

"Fish (may I skip the cuddly bit) had the misfortune of being a member of a forum that was 90% ignorant, with most of the forum contributors in gangs of goody two shoes who spent all their time blowing icing sugar up each others' arses."

Oh, I like you already, Sken.

Unfortunately, I am unaware of any Goody Two Shoes types on this site. Speaking of Goody Two Shoes, remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5BV9Z42D-E

He was kinda hot, wasn't he?

As for the rest of them, such as your friends from the other site, we can only wish for them the best thing that could possibly happen.

Welcome, Sken. (Hope you brought hip boots and a few flaming bags of poo to throw.)

AG, I swear you got good taste, Adam Ant, yum!!!

Well, sken, you've met the best, the rest will say hello sooner or later. :)

Oh it's so good to have you here!! Now let's see what kind of trouble we can get into, heh heh heh ........

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:45 p.m.

You no likey, sken?? Well, to each their own!!

0

antigeekess Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:45 p.m.

"AG, I swear you got good taste, Adam Ant, yum!!!"

Yes, Cuddle, someday we must fight to the death over some pretty gay man who couldn't give a flying f**k about either one of us.

I think it would be a hilariously ironic way to go.

0

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:51 p.m.

Celebrity men I like: Robert De Niro and Jeremy Irons. Can't think of any others! And just two actors.

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:52 p.m.

LOLOLOL I just choked on my Snickers bar, when I read that!!!

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:53 p.m.

LOLOLOLOL AG, I just choked on my Snickers bar laughing at that!!

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:57 p.m.

Robert DeNiro and Jeremy Irons?

Yeah, goodlooking maybe when they were younger, but nah, not for me.

0

antigeekess Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:57 p.m.

Jeremy Irons is definitely on my "hot" list, Sken. I assume you've seen "Damage?" God, it's great.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104237/

I like and feel an affinity with De Niro, but he doesn't make me all tingly. He'd be more like my dad.

0

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 8:59 p.m.

No I haven't seen damage but will look out for it - thanks for the recommendation! I like older men!

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 9 p.m.

Jeremy Irons?? Well, I thought he was nothing in Lolita, in Damage, he just looks way too old.

0

skennerl Oct. 31, 2009 @ 9:01 p.m.

Robert is looking a little old these days.

0

SDaniels Oct. 31, 2009 @ 9:05 p.m.

Right now, I think the Snickers bar sounds more sensually appealing than these guys--that could just be starvation talking, though :)

DeNiro and Irons are not only generally hot, they are capable of uglifying for roles in meaningful ways. Try DeNiro in Flawless, along with Phillip Seymour Hoffmann, or Irons in M. Butterfly...both hot, and not in those films.

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 9:16 p.m.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Oooooh, love the bit when he strokes the microphone stand, oh and when he sings, I'm gonna give you every inch of my love!!

pant pant

Two movies I haven't seen, SD, hmmmmm ...

0

SDaniels Oct. 31, 2009 @ 10:32 p.m.

Fishikins, you must have LOVED the 80s :)

0

CuddleFish Oct. 31, 2009 @ 10:46 p.m.

Okay, I have demolished a package of Lemonheads, a package of Red Hots, a Snickers bar, sheeeeesh, if I don't go to bed soon, I am going to be on a sugar high like nobody's business!!!

Leftover Halloween candy, not good!!!

0

CuddleFish Nov. 1, 2009 @ 3:55 a.m.

Here you go, sken, my latest, and it may be a little controversial, you can post on it if you like. :)
