A prosperity portal opened on 8/8/08 and I went to the magical gardens at the Self Realization Fellowship to meditate and make the most of it.

I sat with the ancient oriental guardian of the honoured Ming Tree, one of Paramahansa Yoginanda’s favourite trees, and asked him what I needed to do to increase my prosperity NOW.

“Live as if it were already so.” the ancient one told me

“I think I do that” I said, more than familiar with concepts of ‘The Secret’ and why ‘fake it till you make it’ works so well.

“Really? Donate $100 to the Gardens on the way out” he said.

Ouch. Instantly I knew I had not been living anywhere near ‘as if my prosperity were already secured’.

That simple request proved I was as poverty conscious as I had ever been. $100 represented a significant part of my resources in that moment, and I ‘happened’ to have it in my purse.

What’s more I had not tithed for months even though I know that offering a percentage of my income to where I receive my spiritual nourishment is the fast track to increasing my abundance. I had instead been guilty of offering the bare minimum to those places that help and heal me, occasionally even grudging that minimum. No wonder my funds were in the state they were.

I folded the $100 bill into an origami heart and enclosed my heart’s pledge of ten million dollars to be paid when I have 30 million in the bank.

It is now August 25th, since 8/8/08 I have been living consciously 'As if" and my life is starting to reflect this in profound ways.

This weekend changed the course of my life in a major way. On Thursday night Malka all but dragged me to a HUB event; Humanity Unites Brilliance.

I’d been to an event once before and had been impressed at this ‘for profit’ humanitarian business model founded by visionary Charlie Gay. It connects people and organizations so that together we can magnify our positive impact on the world.

As impressed as I was I didn’t join, mostly because of my poverty consciousness and because it uses Multi Level Marketing - 40% of the profits go into a three tier commission scale that means excellent money can be made from signing other people up.

I had such a negative emotional charge around MLM that I let the old paradigm shut me down to what Charlie had done with it: This model makes doing good deeds REALLY profitable! It is the perfect way to spread Humanity Unites Brilliance all around the world as quickly as possible. Goodonya Charlie, you’re a flamin’ legend mate!

The more I heard, the more sold I got. “There is a 3day event in LA starting tomorrow” the presenters said “It’s $500 to attend.”

I knew I had to go “Get me free tickets” I told Upstairs Management “and I’ll know for sure this is what I’m supposed to do, and I’ll cancel all my other appointments to be there.”

And so it was that I drove to LA early the next morning with two of the company’s founding ‘archangels’ Jerry and Jessica Conti, MLM millionaires who have agreed to work with me. Jerry has a health coach training company and, thanks to a HUB connection, will be doing a TV show that I fit right in with. They were both a little stressed so I got to share some of my ‘clear stress in 2 minutes or less’ tools on the drive, they arrived stress free and much more aware of my ability to add real value to what they offer.

They introduced me to Charlie, an Englishman with a lot of clout; high up in MGM and Paramount, Cher’s promoter, more credentials than you can poke a flaming stick at. Wait till you see what this bloke created while serving as the former Executive Director of the Mineseeker Foundation and Sole of Africa Campaign, he experienced first- hand the problem, and then the solution, to the pressing world issues of poverty, hunger and disease.

The following is taken from the HUB website, excerpts from Charlie’s story of how this amazing humanitarian business model came to be birthed”

Cyclones and Floods in Mozambique had forced a massive refugee influx into camps that literally did not exist the day before. Non-profits were rushing around in the old paradigm of no money and little resources; compounding the dilemma was that the United Nations World Food Program had announced a 70% funding shortfall, putting additional hundreds of thousands into immediate famine.

The situation was dire. That day I had a conversation with Heidi Baker, a primary care-giver in Mozambique for 20 years. She had 1,250 field agents to serve 500,000 homeless. She loves to love and yet she shared that she did not feel adequate to deal with what she was facing.

I made calls to my dear and magnificent friend, Larry Jones of Feed The Children. We engaged the empowered distributors of the for-benefit company Nourish the Children and delivered over $2 million of life enriching Vitameals from a factory in China.

Within a few days, Heidi received enough superb quality meals to meet the immediate needs of the starving families.

I am clear the only reason we were able to feed that homeless city was due to the finest distributor of food and supplies who took action with the abundant supplier of food stockpiled only because it was a for profit business model.

It was in this moment, I realized that Humanity truly Unites Brilliance. What I did not know until that second was this: as I buffered the mirrors of others to be shining examples of their own brilliance, what I was really offering was allowing myself to look more clearly at myself (through that reflection) and witness my own brilliance in action. Action made many people better that day, but ultimately Action made me better to deal with the next day of my own life, and then the next day, and the next.

I’ll say it again, he is THIRTEEN years old! “My Mom is from Africa” he told us “If she hadn’t left it could just as easily be me as a child soldier or a starving refugee, how can I not help?”

I was delighted to be a part of the inaugural Circles of Brilliance that Barbara Marx Hubbard facilitated. She will be presenting the model to the Democratic National convention in Denver next week. What we are doing is similar to the concept of the "Peace Room" that she proposed when she was nominated for VP in 1984, Barbara will present the CITIZENS SOLUTIONS COUNCIL proposing that the next president of the United States establish a National Solutions Council to identify, connect and communicate what is working in America.

HUB is only two months old and already it is encouraging our youth to excel in compassionate brilliance, and permeating the highest levels of government. There IS hope for the world!

We formed our circles based on our passion, and sat with 12 others who share that passion. I chose ‘empowerment’ as my initial circle. There were lots of other choices from politics and sciences to health and environment. We were each given five minutes to say who we are, what project we are passionate about, and what we need in order to achieve it. The rest of the group listens and tells you what resources they can contribute to your success.

I told the group that I am making my book No Worries, Mate! into a kit. I need a graphics artist to draw what the kit will look like so I can present it to an investor. I also need an investor and a film maker. My group was phenomenal “I know a good graphics artist” “Have you talked to this person about investing?” “Have you met that person? He’s a film maker, let me introduce you.” It was SO COOL!

I spoke to a bloke who, at a HUB event two months ago, met a financier who said “I’ll fund your new fire proof, tornado proof, cyclone proof houses that can be put up in three days”. Their project is now a multi BILLION dollar one that will benefit MILLIONS of people.

Investment bankers and promoters, healers and inventors, business people and philanthropists and everyone in between, are magnetized to HUB all intent on how to maximize the benefit of exponential giving and receiving. Hubbies are united by their desire to help the planet, and in this we are all equal.

God I sound like an infomercial for HUB! The truth is I was so moved by what I saw that this weekend that I have dedicated myself completely to helping the world through Humanity Unites Brilliance.

It answers every prayer I had about reaching more people, making more money, doing more good and meeting the people I need to meet – including my hubby who will surely be a HUBBIE!

HUB’s definition of team is Together Everyone Achieves Miracles. I witnessed that in abundance at this event. I spent the entire weekend weeping with gratitude.
