Surfrider: ocean waters just across San Diego county line dirtiest in 2012 survey
Dave Rice 12:38 p.m., May 21
The sky is teal in my scattered mind.
Through warm colored thoughts I search, but cannot find
the possible reasons why we both deviated
from that feeling that our soul soothed and alleviated
Every insecurity was banished
and every fear in us is vanquished
As I lie here thinking
some birds are singing
some bees are stinging
Was it love?
Or was it to be with a dove
instead of a pigeon
what compelled you to leave this region
in search of a new feeling in distant lands
as you broke away from the desperate grip of these two trembling hands?
Did the sun shine differently that day?
Did the sunlight expose my flaws in any way?
As I lie here thinking
some birds are singing
some bees are stinging
The ocean is teal in my scattered mind
The love we fabricated I struggle to find
Swiftly, the ocean and sky coalesce into a red of some kind
As we both turn away and leave this unattended tenderness behind.
