Ian Pike noon, Dec. 8
The lights were on, instruments were tuned up, a packed house full of locals ready for more live music, fresh beers were on the stage and over 350 family, friends and fans and new fans were at Canes Bar and Grill on 8/6/09 and were ready for Jet West to perform there first live show.
We played for 45 minutes to an hour with a Zen like approach. I am the lead guitarist and strategist for Jet West. My goal as always, is to bring people together for a greater good, and this show was a text book gig performace and we felt blessed.
As I looked up at the crowd during our song "Mexico", all I could see was a photo frame image of the crowd. People smiling, dancing, drinking, laughing and taking photo's, then it was time to solo...long live music.
As I closed my eyes, I realizes, with no suprise that this is where I was supposed to be. 18 years of playing solo and practicing hard was why I was here and why it went off without a hitch.
"Electrifying", "Riveting", "Practice does pay off" are some of the quotes we heard after our show. We love the San Diego local crowd, devoted, honest, and consistent.
Thank you San Diego...
