Story of a Trailer Park Homicide
She was strangled; roommate is sought as person-of-interest.
1219 East Barham Drive #29, San Marcos
January 23, 12:30a.m.
Deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station went to the Casitas del Sol Mobile Home Park to check on the welfare of a 75 year-old female, whom relatives had not heard from since Saturday, January, 19.
When entry was made into the residence, the body of Mimi Rohwer was discovered. The Medical Examiner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. The Medical Examiner found, on January 24, that Mimi died from strangulation. It was a homicide.
The person of interest currently being sought is her roommate, Julio Cesar Jacabo-Curiel, 57. He is described as Hispanic, 5 foot four inches tall, 175 pounds, with short hair and a shaved head. He is believed to be a Mexican national who was in the country illegally.
He was last seen leaving the scene of the crime in Mimi's 1996 red Toyota Camry, licence plate # 3TRH829.
