Duke Cunningham Can't Have Gun
Don Bauder 9:47 p.m., May 25
800 F Street, Downtown April 13, 11:50 p.m.
SDPD
Two men were seen arguing with each other before midnight on Monday. The argument became physical. The victim was walking with a crutch, which the suspect used to beat his opponent to death.
Ross Ivy, 27, was identified as the killer. Gregary Willis, 41, was the victim.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures for Willis over an hour, according to SDPD Homicide detective Kevin Rooney, but Willis succumbed to his injuries from the crutch battering.
Police searched all over downtown for Ivy. They arrested him on the 800 block of E Street at 3:00 p.m. on April 15.
Ivy was booked into County Jail on one count of murder. The motive for the fight is not yet known.

I bet this gives Paul McCartney an idea.
Hey, speaking of crutches...anyone gonna see Mudcrutch at Viejas? Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, and Benmont. Should be a good show.

I wanted to see that Springsteen and E Street Tribute band when they played there a few weeks ago, but I was out of town. Next time. Is this a topic to discuss in a homicide forum..."tribute bands as the murder of the real"...

I enjoy tribute bands, but my musician friends give me crap about that. I fear a Springsteen one would be cheesy. I could just see some short dude, with a five o'clock shadow, jean jacket, and red bandana over his forehead.
