One Caught, One at Large for Murder

SDPD Homicide Detectives had released surveillance photos of two males that were wanted for questioning in the October 24, 2007 murder of Lee Woodard in a San Ysidro motel room. One of the males was identified as Daniel Garcia, 25.
On December 5, detectives from the Criminal Intelligence Unit arrested Garcia in Chula Vista, on Zenith Street. Garcia was booked into County Jail for one count of murder, and denied bail.
Law enforcement continue to look for Garcia’ companion, identified as Jorge Naranjo, 23. Naranjo is a parolee-at-large and is known to frequent the South Bay area.
In addition, detectives are also searching for Woodard’s vehicle, a black 1999 Volkswagen Passat, California license plate 4DYZ009.
Anyone with information about Naranjo or the missing car is encouraged to the the SDPD or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-TIPS.
