This is early notice, so put it on your calendar and reserve two or three weeks ahead, because, honey, you're worth it-- and so is this show of Mom Nature! When high tide hits the Marine Room, it splashes hard, roaring right up against the picture windows, many feet high -- I lucked on to it the year I arrived here and it was one of the most thrilling dinners I'd ever had, a combination of roller coaster thrill and haute cuisine thrill. Better than the orca show at Sea World!
This year's summer dates are June 12 -15 and 29 - 30, July 10-15 and 27-30, August 9-12 and 26-28. Highest tide of the season: Tuesday June 14.
At the same time, there are some nice discounts: Monday Lobster Night for $50 per person (with wine pairing $70) offers a three course menu featuring Maine lobster tails. And Tuesdays through Sundays, for the same price, is the :"taste of the season" three-course menu of creative global cuisine. Sunday through Friday in the lounge (yes, it has the big windows, too), happy hour from 4 to 6 pm offers $7 small plates.
