Talk of happenin' weekends!
Oceanside's got a weekend of local music and 5lb (yes, you read right) hamburgers, starting tonight at 7:00.
It's at Beachside Grill (215 North Coast Highway), their first (hopefully) annual Band Fest.
Bands include Bedlam's Edge, Almost New, White Buffalo and Red Wizard. (My buddy Miles is in that one. Axes shudder when he reaches for them. That's how I heard about this.)
And a bunch of others, including 3 Shots, Broken Clown and Sloppy Seconds. Heck, the names are enough to get you there.
Foodwise, burritos start at five buckeroos, entrees and burgers at nine. And the five pound burger? It's for real, and here's the deal: You down it in 20 minutes, it's free. You don't, you pay $25. But hey, you can probably live off the leftovers for a week.
Band Fest cover charge is $5, or $8 for the three days if you buy tonite.

I certainly don't want to harm any animals. I see you have a dog, well..I have cats. Cats have to eat meat or die, and alas mine have cleaned up the block of mice and rats, its no more fresh meat for these guys.. So -back to Fancy Feast. As for myself - I too have to eat. Red meat helps my red blood count (no, I am not a vampire). I do believe in free rangeing if possible. I think Mr. Bedford made his point...there really are NO answers. Especially for those now suffering from low incomes or no work at all. Having choices is a very expensive luxury these days.

Uh, not eating meat is a lot cheaper than not eating meat. Poor people in other countries do it all the time. That's why Mexicans live on beans and corn tortillas. It is a perfect protein.
You certainly do want to harm animals if you want to eat them to raise your blood count. How anybody could eat a dead animal is beyond me...

um, your first sentence makes no sense mindy.
also, how anybody could not eat a dead animal is beyond me. i, however, don't go bashing vegetarians and vegans because they choose to not eat meat. get off your high horse and accept the fact that people are different. there's really no need to put others down because of what they like to eat (unless it's babies for population control, and even then...)
also, i like your new profile pic. blue is very much your color.

Some people like to eat meat. I happen to be one of them. I have no problem with those who prefer not to. I have many friends who don't. I'm fine with them and they are fine with me. I will admit to having no patience for those with the holier than thow attidude that they are better people for not eating meat than those of us who do. I mean really. If someonehave to point out why they are better than everyone else, then perhaps they're really not so much.
