East County Football Blog’s 2nd Week

Only two weeks after its inception on the Web the East County Football Blog wrapped its second consecutive week of coverage for the Grossmont League Schools. Rumor has it that this week the East County Football Blog will broaden its coverage and add the Christian High Patriots and the Foothills Christian Knights to its complete season coverage.

East County Football Blog author HighSchoolMVP took a bad hit in the predictions this week and after going (7-3) in week one he slipped to (5-4) in week two. So after the first two weeks of coverage HighSchoolMVP drops to (12 – 7) overall for the season, picking .583 % of the games correctly thus far this season. Upsets by Monte Vista, El Centro-Central, and the tie of Otay Ranch with Helix really hurt the HighSchoolMVP this week.

All in all this week had some great games and awesome performances as well for East County Football. Player of the week has to go to Mr. Aaron Harris of Granite Hills who had 303 Yards rushing for 6 touchdowns on only 12 carries.
