Patriots to play Eagles at Valley Stadium

The Granite Hills Eagles will take on the Patriots of Orange Glen tomorrow at Valley Stadium in El Cajon. I’m sorry did I forget to mention “new” Valley Stadium. The track isn’t installed just yet but the brand new field is and the Eagles are hungry for their first win at home on the turf and on the season.

For as long as I can remember Granite has always been known for its ball control offense with the defense being the strength of the team. Well there is no difference this year as the defense is correcting its mistakes each week and getting better while it waits for the offense to have a break out game behind Mr. Aaron Harris. Harris is averaging 126.0 yards a game on 5.6 yards per carry. Brian Carroll is doing his best rendition of Antonio Cromartie for the defense and has 3 interceptions already this year for the Eagles.

Great news for Granite Hills this week and Coach Randy Dewitt, the Orange Glen Patriots are coming into Valley Stadium tomorrow night. Out of the last 7 games played by the Patriots 6 of those games they have surrendered more than 45 points in each contest. In addition the offense has not been much help either. Orange Glens running back is averaging 5 plus yards a carry and is the leading rusher from last years team for the only bright spot there so far. Escondido and San Pasqual have blown out Orange Glen the last two weeks.

Granite Hills at home with the “new” turf and Mr. Harris will mean a long drive back to North County for the Patriots. Eagles will get first win on new turf and on the season.

Prediction (Granite Hills 24 – Orange Glen 10)
