Sandcastles weekend has come and gone in IB and everything is back to normal. IB is still a quiet beach town known for it's surf and, unfortunately, it's polluted water. I love it here though. And local residents are getting together to help find solutions to the water issue. With the help of Wildcoast, the Tijuana River Citizens' Council is working to give a voice to the community to reduce pollution, develop efficient measurement tools, and promote research and education. The water issue in IB impacts the whole community environmentally, economically, and healthwise. It's nice to see the community get together to clean up the beaches!

It is.
One wonders just how serious the new City Council will be on this issue when it comes time. It will be interesting to see how it tricks out.
Best to you and this blog.
