#1-You guys suck. You're pathetic. Your team is pathetic. Your head coach is pathetic. Your offensive coordinator sucks. Your defensive coordinator sucks. Your quarterbacks coach sucks. Your athletic conditioners suck. Your general manager sucks. Your owner sucks. Even the Gatorade bottle filler sucks.

#2-Will you PLEASE stop the Super Bowl talk now? You're halfway back in the cellar and the Raiders are smelling blood. You're NOT the most talented team in the NFL. Not everyone loves you. You're NOT the greatest team to have ever graced the field.

  4. It's a new font, SD. Truetype. Times New Roman Bold Mess. I predict it will be all the rage...

  5. Pete has actually managed to translate drunken, murderous sports fan speech into a simple font. Well done, dude!

(heck of a Phillies game, btw!)

  8. Sorry guys. I don't mean to offend anyone but I was pissed. I make my football picks for pride. I have been known to bet $$$ though. I should've hid my wallet and not opened up my big mouth this week. I lost $500 by picking San Diego. I should've gone with my gut. As for the font,I didn't choose any font. I can't get into my blogs to fix it either. I keep getting a message that the page is unavailable. Not that I would but I can't even edit my blogs. Maybe the server is a Chargeless fan :-D

  9. I was going to write a blog telling the ladies how ashamed I am for being such a prick. I've been doing ALOT of thinking the past few days and now I can't even blog about it. Maybe after a cigarette and some aspirin I'll blog on MySpace and provide a link....I wonder if it had something to do with me using the word suck so many times that it froze something that the admins have to fix. Then again this IS San Diego so even the servers breaking down doesn't really surprise me.

  10. Pete: You really owe no one an apology for stating your opinions. Whenever you've stepped over the line and been somewhat insulting, you've always tried to make it right. You have the right, hell, the RESPONSIBILITY to write what you think. Try and be nice about it, but never apologize for what you feel.

Rather than to tell someone to take a flying f*** at a rolling donut, instead invite them to attempt aeronautical intercourse with an oscillating confectionary pastry. It's nicer, and much more eloquent.

Sorry Pete, but it IS funny. Maybe you've managed to suck so much negative energy toward yourself that your blog has actually become demon possessed.

    'Tis the season, ya know.

  15. No Pike. I DO owe SD,AG and CF a heartfelt apology. Writing it in a comment just cheapens it. Maybe it'll fix itself by the time I get done playing with my stocks in a few hours.

    Skywriting.

    By FullFlavorPike 12:49 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  17. That would cost a small fortune. I can't just apologize. It's too lazy. I'm the type of guy to write a 1,000 word essay on why it's bad manners to fart in a crowded elevator even though it's downright hilarious.

  20. I want to see a 1K word essay apologizing for your elevator farts. Nothing more, nothing less :)

    By FullFlavorPike 1:06 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  21. That's a pretty tall order considering I've only farted in empty elevators. I find public flatuence absolutely hilarious and I'm not going to lie and say I've never farted in public. However, when letting a couple of anal queefs escape the pressurized cabin known as my small intestine,I generally try my hardest to do so downwind or at least in an open space like the women's section of Target. That's always good for a strong smile if you do it without getting caught.

    By PistolPete 1:10 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  22. Aw, jeez. Now I have this vision of you saving farts up for the woman's section at Target (say Tar-ZHAY if you're hip!). Heheh. It's pretty priceless, got to give this guy's imagination credit where credit's due!

  25. LMAO@ The Hamster Dance. I'd have to drink ALOT of beer to do that. I'm not lying either Pike. My GF works at the Poway Target. I'm always in there tootin' in the store. I'm not rude or blatant about it but if I'm on my way to find her and I'm walking through the woman's section and I gotta toot my own horn,I'll do it. Every now and then someone will look around but if I see a woman standin' there I'll wait. Best time to fart in public is when a baby is around. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHsjom...

Uh, Gringo, those are nice sentiments, but Pete has never told you that you suck donkey parts for a living. So...let him apologize in heartfelt fashion, and maybe not do that anymore, and could you possibly butt out on that? Thanks, xoxoxo SD

    By SDaniels 3:12 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  32. SD, I'm not telling him to not apologize in a heartfelt fashion. But I've never told anyone to butt out on anything. For people who are ostensibly against censoring, much of the female blog comments seem to be a tad censor-ish. First CuddleFish, now you? Et tu, Brute?

Ma'am, with all due respect and love, I'll speak my mind. I'll not at all butt-out, gracias.

    By refriedgringo 3:24 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  33. Two things:

    1. Don't you find it a "tad" distasteful as well as arbitrary to make that observation about female blog commenters in particular?

    2. Yeah, you should butt out. It is between me and Pete, and has nothing to do with a free speech issue. It is a bit childish to keep interjecting it, and falling back on it, as a way to excuse bad behavior.

    By SDaniels 3:35 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  34. Two other things:

    1. The guys seem to not have thin skin. I don't. I never take any comment personally. I'm just really tired of people taking a hammer to Pete. He makes comments he shouldn't. He says he's sorry. Life goes on.

    2. You and Pete can email your issues back and forth, but if you make them public, people can certainly interject opinions. Bad behaviour is subjective. I mean, Pete is an adult, you aren't scolding a child here. SD, you're smarter than this!

Look, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow, we'll discuss if you want, but Pete's just some guy. I'm just some guy. You're just some gal. We comment and write, it isn't so damned serious! Pete's not any more of a jerk as is anyone else. And we all have the right to say what's on our mind. Should Pete be more nice about it? Sure. But really, is it worth losing a minute of sleep over?

    Nope.

We get up in the morning, and everything's basically the same.

    By refriedgringo 3:50 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  35. I disagree with your characterization of the "bros" as having thicker skin than the "gals," since you've placed it in those arbitrary terms. I think that people are pretty much the same, and people who make a habit of tossing out the most ludicrous insults with little to no provocation probably have skin a bit thinner than most, yes?

I have never taken a hammer to Pete. I have responded to issues of bigotry when I've seen them, and have fairly defended myself against personal attacks, something of which I see you, refried, do a fair amount for yourself. I have also stood up for you many times when people have unfairly criticized you--forget?

Nope, things don't have to be so serious. But no one single person among us makes all the rules, either, and people have a right to defend themselves. You have multiple times told Pete not to worry about it, when I am the party wronged. Maybe you have a thought about that--or maybe it is all just too unserious to have a thought about?

Good night. Maybe I'll see you all later.

    By SDaniels 4:02 a.m., Oct 20, 2009 > Report it

  36. When Eleanor Roosevelt found out that her husband was cheating on her, her MIL is rumored to have said, "Forgive and forget." To which Mrs. Roosevelt is said to have replied, "People say that like it's one and the same thing. It isn't. I can forgive, but I won't forget."

As a Christian I am called to forgive. As an ordinary human being, I would like to understand why people behave badly, but it isn't always given to me to know why. The best I can hope for is recognition and lesson learned: Go ye and sin no more.

I don't get why the guys are supporting Peter in his bad behavior. Frankly, when SD listed some of the comments he had made in the past, I was ready to write him off, and to some extent things will never be the same between him and me; that's the bad thing about when you say hurtful or thoughtless things, you can't take them back, you can only apologize. Pete says he feels bad, he says he wants to apologize, which tells me he wants to make amends for past wrongs. That to me is a sincere apology, not words, but deeds. And further, as I said in the other thread, I do believe much of what Peter says is posturing. I know that's something little boys do, but let me tell you something: Behaving badly ain't cute and it ain't funny, except to other little boys. Grow up!!!!

In any and all cases, this is Peter's call. He felt he had something to apologize for. Leave him alone to make that decision.
