The many spectacle/facial hair combos of delightful character actor Stanley Tucci
Look, I didn't choose the blog life, the blog life chose me. So yeah, I'm supposed to be doing other stuff, important stuff - analyzing trailers, reviewing movies, eating chicken and waffles, etc. etc. But instead, I'm posting this collage of Stanley Tucci rocking no less than six different types of eyeglasses and seven different styles of facial hair. The man has range. Find me another actor working today who has worn as many similar permutations. Let's have a look, shall we?
Clockwise from upper left: no glasses, no facial hair (but blue wig!), The Hunger Games; no glasses, one-day grizzle, Margin Call; round wire-rim, five-day beard, Captain America; chunky dark rectangle, bushy goatee, Gambit (upcoming); hybrid square-round tortoise shell, manicured two-day beard, Burlesque; classic rounded tortoise shell, slight mustache, Julie & Julia; rectangle tortoise shell, manicured goatee/chin beard over one-day stubble, Easy A; circular tortoise shell, no facial hair, The Devil Wears Prada.
At this point, I'm guessing it's a clause in his contract.
