Set faces to quizzical, Mr. Hanks:
And if the guy who fell in love with the script looks this confused, what hope is there for the rest of us? And by the by, Mr. Hanks, it's not the universe that's against you, it's the New Yorker curse.

The New Yorker curse? Matt, you are being as cryptic as this movie appears to be. Can you please just tell us if it is any good, and should we spend our $10 to go see it?
I usually enjoy reading your reviews, but this time you leave me wondering if you actually saw the film and if so, did you understand any of it, or is it the incomprehensible nonsense it appears to be?

JavaJoe - thanks for the kind word, and thanks for reading. The film isn't out yet; this is just a puzzled look at the trailer. The New Yorker curse reference is explained in a Salon article that you can get to by clicking on the word "curse." Apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

I couldn't finish watching the extended trailer. The word "overwrought" kept coming to mind. I clicked off with 30 secs remaining.
