So while I was bopping around for Alien images for the previous post, I stumbled across this amazing bit of VHS, now preserved on YouTube:
The first half is all about Alien designer H.R. Giger, and is fascinating in its own right. But the second half is about the design and creation of the Alien and the Alien costume, and it's a wonderful, wonderful look at pre-CGI creativity in action.
