More Hispanic than hippie — Banhart at the Belly Up

Finally saw Moonrise Kingdom over the weekend. I agree with David Elliott's enthusiastic review, and would only add this from my friend Sophia: "[Director Wes] Anderson is a humanist in the very best sense of the term. The idea that a vision or personal goal is worth pursuing no matter how wacky or improbable or however amateurish the results is [laudable]. And he doesn't dance around the idea that selfish actions have sometimes ruinous consequences. Yet all the while there's an undercurrent of forgiveness..His is a merciful vision, and I rejoice in that."
Anyway, I just want to note that if anyone ever gets around to putting Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke in a movie (maybe Recession Blues?), they have their man in Bob Balaban from Moonrise:

Only after Ben Bernanke gratifies Jon Voight in a movie theatre.
