I believe I read a report last night that an "anonymous" benefactor has guaranteed to final $15million cost of the new downtown library. I guess the easiest way to find out who it is to wait and see to whom Mayor Sanders grants the next big "favor". There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Maybe Irwin Jacobs bought the privilege of having his name on the new library in perpetuity. In times like these, a few million can buy a lot of adulation, pseudo-recognition, and butt kissing.
