Vince Miranda and the Balboa, Aztec, Cabrillo, Plaza, Bijou, and Pussycat theaters
Well researched article and pretty close to factual concerning Vince and G.(George) Tate. I was the v/p of Walnut international productions inc. in the early 70's and there never was a Frank Clancy who put together the Backstage Restaurant, which was a pawn shop on 3rd& F before we built the Restaurant next to the Off Broadway. The story is true that there was a following out between myself and Vince, but it had nothing to do with Don Wortman who had his hands full, no pun intented, with the production of "Take It Off". This narrative caught the flavor of that period of history in downtown San Diego so many years ago.— May 27, 2008 1:57 p.m.
