So many San Diegans carry guns
Thank you Rosa for the great article. I have forwarded it to many friends and family members. It's great how quickly the intelligent, common sense crew stepped up and "shot down" the brainwashed nonsense that's so pervasive in this state. I'm not at all pro-gun or a zealot, I AM however, in favor of rational debate. To me, the anti gun people simply fail to present rational arguments. Guns aren't the only argument they usually fail with. Did anyone notice that a movie advertisement was stapled on the outside of the cover, right where the title "They Carry Guns" is so that the title is covered up? Hmmmmmm.... Pervasive, isn't it?— July 17, 2009 10:48 a.m.
Is Moores Jumping Out Just in Time Again?
I can't get over how San Diego tries to do business with billionaires with lawyers that can eat Mayors and city counsels for breakfast-- with taxpayers picking up the tab. I used to really like going to the "Murph" to see the Padres. Now the big money has ruined it for me. Nine dollar cup of beer--and they want US to pay for their new stadiums. Wow. The nerve. Now, amazingly, Moores got some stooges to BUY the Pads? No wonder Trevor bailed.— January 14, 2009 10:41 p.m.
Bust out
Critics should point out how consistently liberal slants in programming, while using public funding, keep half of the population from watching their worthwhile shows- just to avoid their politically driven, left wing crap. For all the great work done at KPBS, it is diminished by their own dishonesty. Dishonesty is to blame for the financial decline of many institutions saddled with presenting news to the public, whether left wing or right wing. The San Diego Union Tribune has the opposite problem of sliding the information to the right, to appease those trying to put tall buildings in the flightpath of future condos--The same paper that squeezed Don Bauder for telling the public the truth about San Diego politics. While I occasionally disagree with Don and Matt, I thank the courage of the READER for their investigative reporting that I depend on for that truth.— January 14, 2009 9:50 p.m.
