The Gregorian Schola ‘Canticum Cordium’ (Archcathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul on the Cathedral Island, Ostrow Tumski Estate). Gregorian music-loving girls (students from the Department of Choral Conducting, Music Education, and Church Music in the Academy of Music and others) enjoy considerable popularity in Poznan. They cherish a wish to popularize this particular genre of music. The team formally came into existence in 2008. On the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, the ensemble ‘Canticum Cordium’ conducted by Pr. Mariusz Bialkowski participated in the concert ‘Sing Christmas’ in the Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica in Poznan. Their repertory contained: Communio ‘Viderunt omnes’, Introitus ‘Dominus dixit ad me’, and Introitus ‘Puer natus est’ (works related to the liturgy over the twenty centuries of the Church history, the oldest and most beautiful melodies).
