The ensemble was formed in 1983 by the then Vice President of the Academy of Music in Poznan, Professor Janusz Dzieciol. The choir under the artistic direction of Thomas Dzieciol is very active in festivals of music at home and abroad (international competitions, rich concerts, and team awards). On Sunday 13 January 2013 (Feast of the Baptism of the Lord) it appeared in carol concert at the cathedral presbytery. James Pankowiak played the organ. Yet more jubilee year concerts will be presented. Dr. Thomas Dzieciol is currently the conductor of the choir and also conducts research and teaching in the Academy.
