The Church of St. Margaret the Virgin and the Martyr (Little Wednesday Square / Rynek Srodecki). A settlement in Little Wednesday dates back to the 9th century as archeological studies suggest (ducal settlement by 1231). In 1288 it was granted to the bishops of Poznan and obtained city rights in the 15th century. Ostrowek / Little Island (former name of the city) was incorporated into Poznan in 1800. The church built in the former half of the 13th century is positioned in the center (Srodecki Market). It belongs to the St. Peter and St. Paul Archcathedral Parish (auxiliary church). Two early Gothic arched portals placed inside the tower date back to the former half of the 13th century.
