Mississippi or maybe Louisiana depending on who you ask. I took that photo about an hour before sunset in mid July 2011. My brain can still feel the steamy wet heat of the swam pressing into my head as we drifted through invasive south american water hyacinths. That peaceful slightly salty water is said to contain a rich gumbo of life with the American Alligator at the top of the food chain.
