Beer Week Basics: Fezziwig's
Yes, it's a holiday beer put out each year by The Boston Beer Co.— November 11, 2012 11:56 a.m.
El Indio Mexican Restaurant
You're not imagining things. The prices are sky-high for this type of food and, whereas they once ranked high on the list of gringo Mexican food spots, they fall in the below-average range for me. I will say that those chips still taste great, but beyond that, it's surprisingly bland and far too small of portions, especially at the ever-rising rates they're charging.— October 11, 2012 11:58 a.m.
The Five Chef Societe
Very cool. Where can we see the photos of the chefs?— September 13, 2012 1:25 p.m.
The Five Chef Societe
Hey Ian. I've been consistently loving PubCakes since they debuted a couple of years ago. The missus even surprised me with a 12-pack of them for my birthday and all in attendance fell in love with them. They're a bit pricey, but even a miser like me can part with a few bucks for a Tower 10 IPA mini-cake. Hope you like them, too.— September 13, 2012 1:24 p.m.
Provisions, Soda & Swine coming to Normal Heights
It was my belief it was North Park originally, but when I first reported the story, people became livid, stating it was not North Park. So, when the business owners stated they were coming to Normal Heights, I figured I had indeed gotten it wrong and went with their assessment as well as those who had originally informed me that I was incorrect. Thank you for your informative comment. I do appreciate the thorough explanation.— September 11, 2012 2:14 p.m.
A Tale from Inside Hotel Hell
I'm really not sure about that one. I often wonder about the repercussions for such openness are, as I'm sure that must be tough for a business owner to swallow upon review.— September 4, 2012 12:14 p.m.
First Look: KS4S
A sip of Amber Lager really always provides a nostalgic transport back to the early days of San Diego's craft beer scene. Hope you enjoy the new spot!— August 9, 2012 11:52 a.m.
New Belgium Taps SD Twice for Brewing Innovation
If they say it was on purpose, it goes against what reputable sources told me. Bottom line, I wanted to communicate people should drink it rather than hold it. Hopefully, they will do just that to enjoy it to the utmost extent.— August 6, 2012 1:40 p.m.
New Belgium Taps SD Twice for Brewing Innovation
Really good catch...I meant to type "craft" brewing company. Thanks! I'm excited to check them out, too. Feel free to comment back with your thoughts on them once you do get a taste.— August 2, 2012 2:12 p.m.
Fashion Week: Burlap
He's been there a few months. Maybe give it just a bit of time for the staff to get comfortable with the menu, but it is better than before, especially in the area of meat cookery.— July 3, 2012 4:16 p.m.
