Crest Library
I have been going to this library to study since I moved to Crest. Its small and quiet, which makes it a nice place to study. However, there are no varieties of electric outlets. I just left there very pissed off because when I first arrived I asked where I would be able to plug in my laptop to study for my finals. I was told I could use a certain table and plug in where the librarian showed me. There were people already sitting at that table so we asked if I could use it to be next to the outlet. They moved and I put my whole setup and was in the zone of typing and working. In mid-sentence of typing another librarian told me that my plug was a "trip hazard" and I needed move. I didn't understand as I was the ONLY one in the library with them. I was told to plug in near the t.v which is the children's area with a child's table. I am 27 years old with a bad back there was no way I was going to put myself through that. I was told to put my laptop on my lap and work on a chair. Considering it was in the children's area and the chair is in front of the t.v area, I didn't understand how this was going to minimize the "trip hazard" as the cord would be going across the children's area. When I tried to explain that I needed a table for my books and laptop I was told again "no". I have been to this library many times, and this experience made me never want to go there again.— May 31, 2013 2:17 p.m.
