Pho Viet & Grill
Looking for something new on your taste buds, check out new Vietnamese spot. There is a new Vietnamese restaurant in town and they are quickly becoming a favorite. Pho Viet & Grill is located in the same complex as Fuddrucker's, UEI and Women's Fitness World, off 3rd Ave in west Chula Vista. Park in the structure behind the complex and then walk toward the center courtyard, where your efforts will surely be rewarded by their delicious food and warm, welcoming staff. Try the Shaken Beef (see photo), it consists of bite sized pieces of the most tender filet mignon in a slightly sweet garlic butter sauce sauteed with perfectly cooked onions and served with Jasmine steamed rice and a salad. This place is clean, the service is impeccable and the food is very fresh and high quality. They do not disappoint. They are there to serve you Mon-Fri 9 am-9 pm and Sat-Sun 10 am-8 pm. Ethiopia, San Diego, Part Six: Awash Restaurant
I'm going to have to check it out. Mr. Mayworm is one of my favorite people to see on Friday afternoons.— June 6, 2013 3:28 p.m.
Three-Alarm Umami
I was stuck in traffic this morning and after 45 minutes crawling down the 5, I couldn't take it any more. I had to pee, I was already late for work and thought, "it's not like a 5 minute stop is going to change the pace of traffic". With César Chávez exit 3/4 a mile away, I remembered what Ed had written..I jitterbugged in my TC till I saw the 15 minute parking come into view. Two things came to mind Ryan's Brothers equals a coffee and bathroom. Although I didn't get the chance to enjoy the wonderfully open space to the Coffee House I did enjoy their French Roast (bold on the tongue and smooth down the throat)paired with the Savory Ham and Swiss. I will be going back to lounge around on a lazy and enjoy the Ryan's Brother's Coffee.— March 7, 2012 10:01 a.m.
Books or e-reader?
I agree, B O O K S over EReaders. With books you get to see all the love in it with the cracks in the spine, and the smell. See if you stop in the same place as last time. I reread my books often so for me, I love putting one more crease in the page.— July 14, 2011 4:32 p.m.
