Happy Pill
Thanks for writing this piece!!! So many of the things you wrote were exactly how I felt 6 years ago when I began my medication. I am happy to say that in my case it worked so well I was able to stop after 2 years and have almost 4 years without! It helped me to realize that it's not something in my control, it's just something I can't help - like allergies, or acid reflux :) You'll find that things do get better - I'm glad you have someone to support and help you on your new adventure. My husband, David, sounds remarkably like yours - we are two lucky girls! Good luck and thanks for the chuckles :) j— April 22, 2010 9:27 p.m.
Dorian Hargrove suffers life-changing skateboard accident
Dorian, Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to write your story. My first boyfriend died from a head injury while skateboarding 18 years ago and reading your story brought back a lot of memories... don't worry, they weren't all bad :) The time he was in the hospital were the hardest 40 days of my life. I am so glad that you were able to survive and regain so much of your life. I know the odds that were against you and appreciate the courage you and your family have shown. Congratulations on your recovery so far and please carry on with your plans to educate children about wearing helmets. Thanks again, jen— April 22, 2010 9:22 p.m.
