Drive-In Theaters in San Diego: Complete Illustrated History 1947 thru 2008 (45 new pics added 7-4-09!)
Wow! What a great article on San Diego County Drive In Theaters. I as a teenager, attended a good number of them and the writer is quite accurate and detailed in his history. One minor historical data about the Rancho Drive In that was left out was the fact that in 1953 I watched my first 3D movie there. It was Fort Ti with George Montgomery. We had to wear the cardboard & plastic colored lenses to be able to see the spears the Indians threw coming right at you. I really ducked. What an excellent and refreshing article— March 8, 2012 3:46 p.m.
