Escondido Mobile Home Park Residents Rely on Water from Hose
You need to call Charlie Grimm, head of code enforcement & call Olga Diaz, YOUR city councilwoman. Third time in two weeks without water is bordering on criminal. Residents need to organize. If this happens again, you should call the newspapers, TV stations & picket city hall. You should also go to the next city council meeting & you can air your complaints on TV at 4 PM Wednesday (tomorrow?). The city is totally at fault for this & can/will do something IF you "put their feet to the fire" of public opinion. There are elderly & children in this park & these are THIRD WORLD CONDITIONS. You can also complain to the State, Dept Housing Community Development. They have an office in La Mesa.— September 21, 2010 4:44 p.m.

Escondido Mobile Home Park Residents Rely on Water from Hose
There is a city ordinance stating that water in a mobilehome park CANNOT be shut off without 3 days PRIOR notice. Why wasn't this reported to the city, EMPAC,or GSMOL?— September 21, 2010 2:35 a.m.
The Disbanded Duo
I'm 74 & live in a Resident-Owned Mobilehome Park in Escondido. In August, our clubhouse was broken into 3 times in less than two wks. The police came every time, when called the day-after. It took over a month to get a police report & then it was FALSE, in my opinion. Further, WE, the residents, uncovered the name of an individual who was bragging he broke in & stole $100. He did this by kicking in/prying open 4 wooden, locked doors. I personally chased him & an accomplice out of the park. I gave the police his plate no., first name, phone number, all of which WE PARK RESIDENTS obtained. We gave ALL this info to the police. A detective called & said he wasn't even going to investigate. I plan to address the city council on this issue the l9th. There's more to this if ANYONE is interested. My name is Jerry Lenhard, Villa Madeira Property Owners Assoc., 955 Howard Ave, Sp 92. Phone: 760-745-3734. I'm currently on the Bd of Directors & have been an activist since l988. I was active in getting Olga Diaz elected this yr & Gallo ousted.— November 12, 2008 7:13 p.m.
