They need to own what they have done here.We have no need for a swanky hotel.The local hotels hold some of the poorest residents. Escondido, destination: North County Ghetto.Over night stays include the adventure of a Police ride along program, where you can experience the thrill of drive by shootings,gang wars ,drug dealers,criminals in action & hookers workin it.Within blocks of the City Hall & Arts Center. This is a ploy to get re elected by Gallo & Abed. They make empty promises to the voters.Inflate the Immigration problem as a smoke screen to cover the real issues of this city.Waldron pulled the rental ban game on voters to get re elected 2 years ago.She knew the City Council had no power over immigration ,its Federal.Took a federal Judge to rule that illegal.Cost of that court issue and protection of Waldron over $250,000.+ tax dollars.Of course she was already re elected by the time this went to a federal Judge.Empty promises.... real issues in Escondido: A - $9.8MILLION deficit while they gift $18 million tax payer dollars to a wealthy hotel developer.Sewer system near capacity do to over development.A city blighted with unfinished abandoned developments.A 100 year old dam ready to burst & flood the town.An Arts Center that has sucked millions from taxpayers for 14 years,it still cannot support itself.Empty business, buildings & boarded up store fronts on Grand Avenue.No new "high paying" jobs as promised by the council.Crime. All this and more while the Council gave themselves a raise,gave thousands in gas allowences to city employees,gave a $2000.00 stipend to all city employees. Gallo has the nerve to say, " witnessing deterioration of Escondido frosts his crank." Meanwhile Gallo has been on the council for 8 years,Waldron 12 years,Abed 4 years,Daniels 2 years,Pfeiler 16 years.He claims no participation in the deterioration ...this didnt happen overnight .He needs to go home with his crank once we frost errr... vote him out!
