Easy Does It
I went to The Big Easy Saturday night and it was delicious! My dad, boyfriend and I arrived about an hour before they closed and we had great service. Frankie came out to chat for a bit too. We started with the jambalaya and Caesar salads (which are big enough for 2). The jambalaya was really good and had a spice that kicked in towards the end. We were then served corn muffins and were warm and moist. They paired well with the Sweet Tea that is served at The Big Easy. For entrees, my boyfriend had the meatloaf. I am not a meatloaf fan but this meatloaf was pretty good. It was served with the sweet potato pureé. Bold flavor and a spice as well. My dad had the Steak, which was tender. I ordered one of the specials, which was lamb lollipops in a cherry-thyme demi-glaze and it was one of the best dishes I have had in a long time! It was sweet, and savory and really tender too. We finished the night with a plate of beignets (3 per order) and we tried the peach cobbler too. The peach cobbler was my favorite! Even my boyfriend who doesn't usually like peach cobbler couldn't stop eating it. I highly recommend stopping by this new restaurant! You won't regret it (until you are walking away way too full!)— June 1, 2010 11:04 p.m.
