UCAN's Request for Relief Tentatively Turned Down
Makes sense, because it's much easier than dealing with reality! Been that way since the beginning of time.— September 23, 2012 4:50 p.m.
Shoestring Travel: London
Good article, and helpful. But doesn't hold a candle to Paris or Rome unfortunately.— September 23, 2012 4:05 p.m.
Chargers Stadium, Affordable or Not
Chargers will be in LA soon enough.....I predict just in time for the lights to go off in San Diego. And The Man wins again. Oh well.— September 23, 2012 3:56 p.m.
UCAN's Request for Relief Tentatively Turned Down
I totally agree with Founder. The public is doomed without local consumer advocate....but is any of this really a surprise? The energy companies know the game well - and win. Every time. What is the tipping point where the public is had enough though...hard to say. I also wouldn't consider it a news flash that lawyers are cratering the world. Like the $100,000 in 'discounted' fees U-T reported Michael Aguirre got paid out from UCAN for what was probably a few days work. Happens all time. Man, I should've gone to law school.— September 23, 2012 3:48 p.m.
Tony Gwynn got salivary gland cancer but won't denounce chewing tobacco
Good story...there was a 60 Minutes story on harm reduction was basically a commercial for snus and other nicotine delivery methods that don't involve lighting something ON FIRE and INHALING SMOKE. The chew debate is interesting...i guess at the end of the day, it's hard to find something that DOESN'T cause cancer.— March 15, 2012 1:24 p.m.
Navarro's Documentary to Debut
Ahhhh...gotcha. Forgive me...just trying to follow. Were they not allowed to give? So if I give money to PBS and then they give it to the Frontline people (greatest show ever btw), did I do something wrong? There was also a Nightline story on Apple making iphones in China a few weeks ago that opened my eyes. Someone in congress, president, whoever, needs to do something!— March 15, 2012 12:18 p.m.
Martinis Above Fourth
I prefer the saying "one martini, two martini, three martini, floor"— March 15, 2012 10:39 a.m.
San Diego Congressional Candidates Speak on Women’s Health and Gas Prices
Solar is a LOSER. How much money do we have to throw at it in order to realize that?? Natural Gas is HERE in the US..it's accessible..and it's cheap. Energy Independence. End of story.— March 15, 2012 10:36 a.m.
Navarro's Documentary to Debut
Controversy-plagued? I guess if you are dividing the people here who like having jobs and those who don't. One problem: they need to move that showing to Washington DC. Those people are doing NOTHING!! We're doomed.— March 15, 2012 10:30 a.m.
