Davina's Cabo Grill
I was informed today that a group of American Legion Riders were turned away from your restaurant for wearing vests bearing the logo of the American Legion. Apparently, your staff is uninformed as to who exactly the American Legion is. Please take a look at this website to educate yourself and your staff: http://www.legion.org/riders This is an excerpt from Wikipedia to help your understanding: "The American Legion is a social and mutual-aid veterans' organization including members of the United States armed forces. The organization was founded in 1919 by veterans returning from Europe after World War I, and was later chartered as an official American patriotic society under Title 36 of the United States Code. The organization is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, and also has offices in Washington, DC. The group has nearly 3 million members in over 14,000 Posts worldwide" In essence, what you did this morning was alienate military veterans and active duty personnel who make up the membership of the American Legion. I'm appalled that a business in the City of Oceanside who probably sees a large amount of military customers would turn away a veterans organization chartered by the Congress of the United States.— May 11, 2013 11:41 p.m.
