Give and Take
You can come over for bolognese anytime. You bring the vino, I'll provide the rest. ; )— March 17, 2009 9:36 a.m.
Give and Take
Laughing at your rationalizing Josue's gift. All I wanted for Christmas last year was a pretty enamel cast iron pot-no one wanted to get it for me, "too domestic," "not exciting!" I kept telling people, it's exciting TO ME! I love cooking, and I love feeding my friends and family-so get me the damn pot already! There sure wasn't any complaining when they got to eat the rich, delicious bolognese that came out of that "too domestic" pot. Enjoy your pasta adventures! Josue sounds like a genius.— March 16, 2009 10:26 a.m.
Horribly Obsessive
You are most welcome-gave me goosebumps the first (mumble) times I watched it so I had to share.— February 19, 2009 4:15 p.m.
Horribly Obsessive
I knew I liked you for a reason. Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long blog is sublime. Economic forces have kept me from getting the dvd-I envy your singing commentary knowledge! You'll have to borrow my complete set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, there's a musical episode in season 6. Oh yes. And it's DEVOON! Also, on YouTube, NPH and Jason Segel on Megan Mullally's short lived talk show burst into a duet from Les Mis. Acapella. Okay, stopping now, too much geek showing.— February 19, 2009 3:10 p.m.
Virtual Water Cooler
Twitter keeps me sane while I slog away as an office monkey. I feel less guilty about it, too, since I'm limited to 140 characters. I try, and often fail, to not fall down the Facebook hole while at work. But there are those days . . . PS: great to meet you in person the other day at the Mission. Thanks for being gracious to me even though I caused your food to go cold.— January 5, 2009 3:40 p.m.
X’ed Out
When 91X let Robin Roth go, I couldn't believe it. I thought they couldn't sink any lower. But now Steve West . . . he's one of the Founding Fathers of 91X! Resurrection Sunday was the one and only time during the week that I would listen to 91X for more than one song's worth of time. Now, there is absolutely no reason to tune in. We have truly reached an end of an era in San Diego radio-and it's freaking sad. Yea, yea, budget-so fire your weakest assest: like any other DJ, except for Steve they are all inter-changeable. At least we still have 94.9-Halloran, please find a niche for Steve!— November 13, 2008 3:43 p.m.
Live Butchers — Live!
You forgot to mention that there is a Harvest Ranch in El Cajon, too-on Jamacha, near Washington. But then, it is east of the 5, so it doesn't count, right?— November 6, 2008 3:12 p.m.
The Great Escape
Your trip sounds devoon! Once you've recovered and are ready to head up to northern Cal, make sure and stop by the Willow Wood Market & Cafe in Graton for dinner and the Ace Cider Pub, also in Graton, for a post dinner cider-it's right up the road from the Willow Woods and is on same property as a John Deer Dealership.— October 30, 2008 3:13 p.m.
Tea High
What a great treat for your mom! When I first went to England I searched high and low for a "traditional" high tea. Scones and cucumber sandwhiches? Nope-try shrimp scampi with chips and peas. Believe it!— June 5, 2008 12:27 p.m.
