D.A. Dumanis rakes in $21,000 from used-car interests
Bonnie broke bread with the used car dealers because she is a lemon, herself!— March 24, 2014 7:19 p.m.
Dumanis set to open TV ad war
Nice to see that Dumbanus is using the dirty money she received from that "Coronado businessman" for something splashy like TV ads. But when the many military voters in San Diego realize that her opponent, Bob Brewer is a DECORATED ARMY VETERAN and a happy husband with children and grandchildren, her days will be numbered. I cannot wait for that moment when the corrupt DA concedes the race to someone (ANYONE) other than herself. http://www.sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2014/m…— March 24, 2014 6:40 p.m.
Not just about shrubs, says Ocean Beach resident
@Visduh: Your wisdom is only exceeded by your good looks. Dopey Dumanis dropped this down to a misdemeanor because righteous soul Frank Gormlie of the OB Rag got involved. Also our idiot D.A. knew she would get reamed about this come reelection time next year AND SHE IS CORRECT! I plan to wipe her face in this preposterous absurdity, along with several other ding-a-ling cases she has the audacity to file. Visduh is so right: send this Beantown Bozo back to the New England rock that she crawled out from under! DITCH DUMANIS 2014!— December 4, 2013 11:29 a.m.
Building begins on busy corner in Point Loma
That corner property is kind of smallish to fit in a bunch of Famosa condos but I guess it's better than watching all the pigeons congregate in that empty lot while stuck at the light there. Great story and very thorough.— December 3, 2013 7:30 p.m.
Point Loma residents pick sides in Pointers’ stadium proposal
I would like to have seen the author of this story mention that many locals in this battle are against the additional stadium lighting and fixing up the Point Loma High sports field because the nearby ROCK CHURCH had plans to RENT THE FOOTBALL FIELD to hold their games and practices. One resident I spoke with did not try very hard to disguise their feelings about this. They claimed that the money-hungry SDUSD is looking to earn income from fancying up the facilities and that they DO NOT WANT Chatsworth Blvd. to turn into Rosecrans Street on a Sunday. This reference---to the steady traffic the Liberty Station mega-church brings into the Peninsula--seems to ignite the PLHS proponents & opponents to an even higher level of emotion! I never thought that stadium lights & football fields held such passionate feelings for these prosperous Pt. Lomans!— October 22, 2013 4:05 p.m.
City attorney Goldsmith boasted how he worked on Filner ouster for 8 months
Might you consider, Oh great muckraker Bauder, a "juicy expose" on some people in the SD publishing business and I am not referring to Papa Reader but to the fishwrap Master of Mission Valley and his Russian mail order bride? You could call it "25 Shades of Scarlett."— October 18, 2013 7:28 p.m.
City attorney Goldsmith boasted how he worked on Filner ouster for 8 months
There was talk this troll for the downtown good ole boys was going to run for Mayor himself! God help us all!— October 18, 2013 8:56 a.m.
Stop-sign war in Point Loma’s Wooded Area
I go to PLNU and I hear theyd put these stop signs up to stop speeders from the Navy base. Theres a story in the Becaon all about this by that same guy Tony. http://sdnews.com/view/full_story/22434535/articl…— June 19, 2013 8:02 a.m.
