Two bodyguards of Rosarito's police chief beat up law student
You just can't make this stuff up. Beating a law student to teach him what exactly? The Police Chief's bodyguards? Again? It looks like the good people of Rosarito need bodyguards to protect them from the current Police regime. Sheesh.— May 19, 2013 12:11 p.m.
Rosarito Blues: Cantamar
Hopefully the transparency of the internet will allow potential investors to assess the risks involved when investing in Rosarito. We've run into this exact problem head-on. Think you have an ocean view? Wait a year and some crook will build on the sand in front of you! If they don't fix the land frauds in Rosarito they won't sell another property, and shouldn't. If you're not "buying" anything with your money, it's not investing- it's pure stupidity.— February 6, 2013 9:59 a.m.
Do we need more knife control?
It's up to friends, neighbors and family to ensure crazy people don't do crazy things. The gov't can only do so much.— December 15, 2012 8:08 a.m.
Newly issued Mexican immigration regulations are bad news for Americans
$237 a year for a visa is a rip-off. Do we at least get a police chief who can pass his control and confidence exam to protect us? Nope. Will this stop Rosarito Beach from becoming a beach slum for deportees and their American families? Is this the end of ex-pat retirees in trailer camps? Nah- it's only for the few expats who follow the rules. I'm guessing around 30% of ex-pats have the correct and current Mexican visa- tops.— November 9, 2012 4:09 p.m.
Rosarito's problem with people deported from the United States
I live in Rosarito Beach. Rosarito slid into "Trailer Trash" territory last year. The white people who took off from Rosarito during the crime wave put their houses up for sale instead of coming back. They didn't sell- so they put them on the rental market. The oversupply drove the rents to under $300 for a house (not a nice house but you are at the beach). That was a magnet for the deportees and their families. Until there is demand for real estate sales- this will be the situation and the price point.— September 22, 2012 1:42 p.m.
Misbehaving Tijuana Police
Extortion and Robbery are nothing new, why are the cartels allowing the competition?— September 17, 2012 5:01 p.m.
Mexico vacationers swim at highly contaminated beaches
Too bad about the sewage pouring onto the sand in Rosarito Beach today. Right by the lifeguard tower too.— August 5, 2012 7:36 p.m.
