When two-ply isn’t enough and light bulbs go poof
There's something to be said for the quality of each ply. There's a big difference between a quality 1-ply like Cottonelle* and the cheap 1-ply you can read a book through. *(with or without aloe)— March 16, 2012 6:56 p.m.

I've eat here nearly every time I pass through Temecula to get to Palm Springs. I had no idea it's been a Mexican restaurant for OVER 30 YEARS! Thought that was a recent development. Thanks for the info, Mango.— June 1, 2011 7:43 p.m.

Other People’s Children
Wasn't aware that kids were drinking coffee these days. I woulda guessed a coffeeshop would be a relatively kid-free zone, regardless of the time. I'm not a big fan of noisy children. So, if I can't go to a cafe at 10:30am, and I can't go to a diner at 7pm, then, pray tell, when *can* I go? Incidentally, I'm not a big fan of noisy adults either. I can only hope that Guy in the Coffee Shop and Purple-Faced Irate Woman feel equally compelled to yell at adults speaking too loudly on their cell phones.— May 2, 2011 7:12 p.m.

Pretty Woman
Something has been troubling me about Pretty Woman ever since I saw it on TV last night. In the iconic movie poster, Julia (er, Vivian) is wearing a black and hot pink hooker's outfit. In the movie she's wearing the same outfit, but it's white on top, with blue tye-dye on the bottom. I'm perplexed why they would change the color of her outfit for the poster. A quick Google search revealed nothing. Anybody clued in why they did this?— February 7, 2011 2:04 p.m.
