Sharks in Swampland
pitch perfect on this one -- this idea of selling, selling out, selling our souls for the almighty dollar -- or even just to be 'on top' -- regardless of the karmic consequences -- seem more prevalent than ever -- social media just makes it friendlier and easier..... thanks for the wonderful insights— October 4, 2012 8:49 a.m.
An allegiance
yes, drenched, beautifully, fully, drenched in the stuff of love --- thank you— September 25, 2012 6:30 p.m.
Hal David
that was nice. I got the feeling that I was there too - could feel his generous mind and friendly vibes --got me thinking about alllll of those lyrics - that wealth of poetry -- how could he not be a 'great interview' ? thanks for the more personal insights -- brightens his star even more - deepens the way I receive his fabulous words and thoughts....— September 6, 2012 9:44 p.m.
La Jolla Playhouse stages An Iliad

The Big Noise: The Free Speech Fight of 1912, Part Four
wow.... what an epic story -- and one for these times -- sometimes I think this is where we are headed again as a country -- witness the mess in Wisconsin -- and they couldn't get the recall through for that awful excuse of a governor -- but this story is just what guys like him would love -- that kind of power over poor and middle class people - or any one who doesn't support his kind of agenda -- this story is terrifying to me -- it made me weep in parts -- oh!— June 20, 2012 6:36 p.m.
The Big Noise: The Free Speech Fight of 1912, Part Two
even these days it is so difficult to separate the good guys from the 'bad guys' - especially when it comes to our rallys and the role that law enforcement might play -- I say might, because the lines are always so vague in the heat of the moment -- do they act? react? - what is free speech when it comes to situations in which people may well be inciting a riot just for the sake of a reaction from the lawmakers (not the law enforcers per se) -- such a somber and sobering note to this part of the story.— June 3, 2012 12:17 p.m.
The Big Noise: The Free Speech Fight of 1912, Part One
I always knew there was a rivalry between SD and LA, but wow! Guess Otis lost that bet -- ha! LOVE stories about downtown area -- it's so much more interesting to take a walk around the area imagining all the ghosts of those events and marking what was with what it's become. I do worry about the SD Union's fate.... Good stories and sources for the upcoming Labor Day in Sept. So much similar strife connected with that 'holiday' -- upheaval, riots, free speech attacked from all sides -- oye!— May 28, 2012 2:36 p.m.
