He's Got the Cheese
As far as I know, anyone can put event flyers and posters in both stores even if it's on the same day as an "Armory" event. In fact the last time I was in one of the Armory stores (PB)there were flyers in there for other events and promotions for other businesses. From Hip Hop events, Pizza, to City Boxing flyers are in the store. If anything that's pretty open to anyone if you have other events being promoted as the same day as Armory events. Conclusively this paragraph below is false. "“A monster has been created,” says a hip-hop promoter who alleges that Wright/Armory will not allow other events to be promoted in the Armory stores or at any of Wright’s events. “People are afraid to say something because they are getting cheese [from Wright]. DJs from all the clubs are afraid to say something so they can go to his events in Japan.”" I have no idea what this article is supposed to inform or prove. But everyone has a right to their opinion of course. If you don't like the things he does or the Armory, that's fine you can do so. Don't go to the events, don't go to anything related to it, and don't buy any of the products. You have every right. Just don't put out false accusations. If you're bitter because he is not supporting one of your events, it's probably because he has his own things to worry about, you can't hate on that. I'm not gonna be mad because NBC won't produce an idea I had for a mini series. They have other things they are working on at the moment. Maybe try a different pitch? But we all know how this media game works. Taking quotes out of context can really be mis-leading. So if you really want to know what's up, maybe hit up Cros personally. He's not hard to find him when he's in SD. Cros1/Armory is not the only company/group doing "Hip Hop" events in SD or around the world. There's more than enough room for everyone to do their own thing. Lets support each other and grow. Peace.— July 8, 2009 4:03 p.m.
