The biggest fan
This is the best story! Very well written. I know all of us gals have our own similar Gregory Page story. I too was that excited about his music the first show I saw. I was so in love w/his voice & his lyrics were magical. I too brought many friends to see him & most gave me the same, "this is boring, let's leave" comments @ the break but there were a couple, those who really appreciate music & talent, who loved his music as much as I. Your description of the venue, the show, GP, I can totally relate to it all as I had the same great experience. (I saw dust on a jacket once too!) He has been a good friend now for over 15 years & I felt the same way at the first CD release party I attended. Years later I even set up a house concert venue "Millie's by the Bay" after hearg his music bc I wanted to support his music (& my place had amazg acoustics). I miss those shows. To this day, I still listen to his music on my ipod & no musician can compare to a GP acoustic coffee house show. I am now spoiled for life. So bummed I can't just walk into Java Joe's or Lestats to see his show these days. Everytime I plan a trip home & make a list of everything I want to do, I list his show (and seeg him) as a priority to see when I get back. Hopefuly one day soon!— May 6, 2010 5:53 a.m.
