Chalking the plank: Judge won't allow bank protester to claim first amendment rights
Not if they have a permit from the state, i.e., city, state and federal agencies governing the conduct of social, political activities. Also, I would remind them to secure legal releases from any business which may come into contact with anyone with chalk. These should be kept for a period of seven years to cover them from prosecution and civil liabilities. It would also be advisable to secure a bond, or other insurance to cover the costs should they arise.— July 1, 2013 3:53 a.m.
He chalks the line: City Attorney prosecutes man for writing anti-bank slogans in water soluble chalk
I just cancelled my credit card with Bank of America. Ive held the card since 1986. I hope this helps his cause and I would encourage anyone with an account with these banks to do the same. I wonder if this post would be like writing in chalk in front of the banks since I've created monetary damages by closing my personal account and encouraging others to do the same? "...and now waiving a banner of the First Amendment, does not negate the fact that defacement occurred, a private business suffered real and substantial monetary damages, and Defendant is responsible.”— July 1, 2013 1:49 a.m.
Is it the mess or the message? City Attorney has been selective when prosecuting chalk vandalism
I've just closed out a credit card account with Bank of America that I've held since 1986. I hope this helps. I would encourage anyone with an account in these banks to do the same.— July 1, 2013 1:18 a.m.
Is it the mess or the message? City Attorney has been selective when prosecuting chalk vandalism
I was planning a trip to San Diego using a Bank of America credit card to buy the airline ticket but, not after reading this! I'll spend my money somewhere else instead and cancel my credit card with Bank of America. What a Nazi state we've becoming!— July 1, 2013 12:52 a.m.
