Homeless Alien Kept a Diary (a short story)
You caught and kept my interest with this one. Thanks.— March 7, 2012 7:42 p.m.
Empirical Order — from the Apocalyptic Chronicles
I don't have much time to log on here but have enjoyed much of what I've read so far. As far as this story goes, I've been preoccupied with moving chapters around. I should know better as this has been known to derail me for months at a time. Thought I'd post this much to test the waters. As I said, reception among friends and loved one has been mixed. Do you ever do public readings? Just curious.— March 7, 2012 7:05 p.m.
Sand Serpent: Borrego Springs' Sculpture Park
Well timed. We were just discussing making the drive out to Borrego Springs as it's been years. Where is this serpent, in the northern section or in the southern?— March 7, 2012 6:59 p.m.
Leap
Fiction mostly. Liking the last stanza more with each review.— March 7, 2012 6:56 p.m.
Fantasies
Risky business, that. Nice attempt at a difficult subject.— March 7, 2012 6:54 p.m.
Convicted Killer Dontaye Henderson Gets 80 Years to Life
And my hard dollars will go towards supporting him for the rest of his days.— February 25, 2012 9:20 p.m.
I Am a Nation of One
My dad spent most my childhood in prison for selling drugs. That aside, I found your storytelling engaging and definitely entertaining, Ms. Georgina.— February 25, 2012 9:13 p.m.
motorcycle memories -ocean beach
I know that feeling of invincibility all too well, but have lived long enough to see more than one of my friends lose their lives or their bikes. Sobers you.— February 25, 2012 9:06 p.m.
Rising from the Trenches with San Diego's Urban Corps
I really can't say enough, Shoes, about this article. Too bad really that it never made it to print because I do read the Reader but only recently found the expanded online Reader community. I enjoyed the way you combined the personal aspect of Jordan with the mural. I drive by there regularly to visit my folks so will have to swing by to take a look. I'm enjoying reading your articles.— February 25, 2012 9 p.m.
Rising from the Trenches Part 2: San Diego's Urban Corps Receives Two National Awards
Well, aren't you a diversified writer, Ms. Shoes. I like the way you told this story about the Urban Corps. Again, good writing. I see Corpsmembers at the train station almost every morning. I notice them not just because there are a few of them and are all in uniforms, but because they also all are generally carrying hard hats and other gear. I've often wondered about who they were. Now I know. Thank you.— February 25, 2012 8:53 p.m.
