A good year for women on film, as exemplified in new releases The Eyes of My Mother, Miss Sloane, and more

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Leroy "LE" Ezell never imagined he would become an MC. LE originally grew up with an intense passion to play basketball and draw, but he eventually decided that he preferred to write music and perform. In January 2009, LE started a music group with his friends Levion Bonner and Paul Antoine. Together they formed the trio called, “Since Birth.” Eventually, the group dissolved amicably, and LE began a diligent pursuit of a successful solo career with NuPharaoh Musik Group. A few of LE’s inspirations include: Jay Z, Eminem, J Cole, Lupe Fiasco, Tupac, and most importantly, his beloved son; Asai Va'mon Ezell-Rogers.
Leroy Ezell’s premier goal as an artist is to bridge a healthy equilibrium that consists of both pop music and hip hop genres. LE admits that he thoroughly enjoys both pop and hip hop, but he is concerned that the current San Diego commercial music market lacks diversity, particularly when it comes to hip hop. LE has performed at various venues in Southern California; some of which include: Deco’s night club, Satin Lounge, Club Spin, Lydia’s Café, Second Wind, Fannie’s, and the Airliner. LE is currently working on his first CD as a solo artist entitled, “NOW or NEVER” which will be dropping in late 2012. LE has expressed definitively that, “NOW or NEVER“is a game changer, and will make a loud statement due to the exclusive delivery, flow, and lyrics.”
