A San Diego native of Asian/Hispanic ethnic background, Paul Francisco Chien's medium of wood, decoupage, torches, pyrography tools, oil pastels, crayon, varnish & epoxy-resin is an exploration of his own Chinese/Japanese/Mexican backgrounds mixed with aspects of his own anger, disappointment, dissatisfaction, frustration and sadness. No formal schooling or training outside of public school curriculum, this is the artist's first real push for exposition.
