Observation Hour
Lindsay H. says: Such a great article! I adopted my little Truffle puppy from the Barking Lot after heading down 3 times to find the right match (each time in tears bc I wish I could take them all home). The good news (which volunteer Teresa told me) is that these dogs DO have a good "foster" home with the Barking Lot. No killing, they get fed, blankets, cleaned up after, walked, bathed and always some love. It may not be a forever home, but these people are amazing and truly care about the well being of the animals!!— October 3, 2012 12:24 p.m.
What the Foie?
Valerie C. says: What the hell... let's outlaw meat eating all together then... ever see those poor underfed cows on the convier belt... how about the chickens, the lambs, the fish.... and the all so American turkey...— June 26, 2012 1:59 p.m.
What the Foie?
Kelly P.S. says: eeesh. i'm sorry. i'm a visual gal. and all i needed to see was a picture of a fat, featherless, sweaty, confined, miserable bird that looks like it's auditioning for the Gluttony section of the movie Seven---and i'm fully anti-foie gras. then again, i don't eat other meats, either---or eggs. or shell food. (yeah, i'm a bore when it comes to food). lol. but i am sorry that David wishes it was readily available, and i do really hope his mama enjoys her special meal.— June 26, 2012 10:23 a.m.
What the Foie?
John R. says: Bet you dinner that it will be as available as ever....under a different label or under different conditions of sale. Wait and see.— June 26, 2012 10:03 a.m.
Woman beaten on 4th and Washington
John P. says: Good thing Rose went to court. I witnessed a woman get knocked out in El Cajon. Myself, and a few others chased the guy and made sure he got arrested. When the woman came to, she immediately started crying and defending him.— June 9, 2012 10:13 a.m.

Massage Muddled
Jason says: "The moment I feel myself giving into relaxation is the moment I perceive awkwardness." I feel the same way and now I know how to word it! Thanks :)— May 10, 2012 3:38 p.m.
Immobile Phone
Dan says: I do find a similar take. My voicemail used to just sit blinking. But I even became tired of the blinking. Now on a weekly basis I dial my Voicemail and set the phone down. It quietly plays and autoarchives all my messages and a few minutes later the blinking is remedied. Problem solved. ^_^— April 27, 2012 11:15 a.m.
Classic Barb Guy
Jamie W. says: Excellent and brave! Thank you.— April 19, 2012 6:43 p.m.
