"Hip" checkout people can turn me off to a store. Maybe I'm a curmudgeon before my time but the idea of hiring someone to provide an essential service based mostly on their "look" irritates me. If I want to feel like I'm shopping at Urban Outfitters, I'll go shop at Urban Outfitters.

Farmers Market Food Stamps Program Expands

I'm happy to see people from all economic strata incorporating fresh, local produce into their diets and farmers markets upping their profits. But I hate the fact that that money comes from a government program and therefore creates and artificial bubble that could burst at any moment.
