Mysterious yellow powder on recycling bin

I live in the Sierra Nevada Mountains about 500 miles north. Some windless summer days the pine tree pollen can deposit 1/2 inch thick. I can only assume you are seeing it due to electrostatic properties and contrast with the blue color.

Saggy-pants origin

The origin as I understand it was convicts were given pants of random sizes and no belt. It became normal to have to walk holding up your pants. Gay convicts would advertise "availability" by letting the pants hang low. It became ghetto style, as many dressed while on vacation (the streets) like they were used to in their normal homes (prison). A clueless white kid sporting the look of a black, gay, convict is pathetic. Add "tribal" tattoos and a hat pointing the wrong way, and I cant help but laugh at them.

Mystery of the Jiffy Pop building

While I support military secrecy, and don't own a tinfoil hat, I'm not buying the story. Google Earth shows 4 white trucks, two with service beds loading or unloading stuff. What exactly is the square pad with 4 circles? Vents for an old silo? Why does the other building have a dome on top? What kind of radar or stationary optical equpment do firefighters need to practice on a narrow point of nearly bare earth?

Where did the news junkies go?

I don't read newspapers or watch TV news anymore. Thanks to the internet i can get my news from many sources and average out that editorial slant. Some of the most un-biased US news can be found in foreign sources like the BBC.

U-T and Port: Bring in the Clowns

If the Chargers want to buy property and build a stadium, the City should sell them the permits, charge them to hook up to utilities and make changes in roads and traffic control. NTC would have been a nice place to do that. Lots of short term jobs could be produced at no cost to the City, and the Chargers can do it their way and take all the risks.
