Appellate court tells CPUC to hand over documents
**Great news for SoCal rate payers.** Since the CPUC decided (again) to side with the Utilities that San Onofre over its "redline" destroying it's four (2 per reactor) almost new replacement Steam generators, everyone has been asking why ratepayers should have to not only pay SCE (and SDG&E their minor 20% partner) but also for their lost profits! I predict that these documents will explicit the Governors Office with the CPUC decision and the will then lead to a far better settlement for ratepayers if not possible jail time for some of the key figures in what I call **#SanOnofreGate** (The hashtag that allows you to keep up to date on the ongoing investigation into the multi-billion $ SCE-CPUC ratepayer ripoff). I am also interested in why the CPUC “may continue to withhold the 16 records over which it asserted the attorney-client privilege as [Aguirre] has not timely or convincingly disputed [CPUC’s claim] that he waived his request for these 16 documents.” This statement leaves much unanswered and will only cause SoCal ratepayers to question [again] what is being withheld from them and WHY?— June 21, 2018 2:23 p.m.
City board to SDG&E: Drop dead
Sempra has raped SD ratepayers for far too long! Remember that Gov. Brown's sister is on the Sempra Board and "they can do no wrong" for their shareholders"! SD ratepayers will only pay LESS if any other options are available to them to offset what SDG&E are getting to charge them. Remember CHOICE always results in lower Energy bills since those supplying that Energy must compete for your business, which is why SDG&E is trying to stop Community Choice from becoming an option for SD Ratepayers! Want to learn more, see what other localities are now paying for clean energy now they they have instituted Community Choice! Don't continue to be a SHEEP, be wise like an Energy Fox, the money you save will help you enjoy a better quality of life. Remember SCE and SDG&E ran San Onofre over its RED LINE and that resulted in both reactors new steam generators (that were designed "in house") being damaged more than any other reactors steam generators in the USA "fleet". The CPUC not gave SCE and SDG&E no fines but also saddled SoCal ratepayers with billions in "lost profits"... http://beforeitsnews.com/survival/2015/08/san-ono…— May 19, 2018 9:25 p.m.
Times zooms in on San Diego in utility fight
SDG&E is spending Big Money to fight Community Choice Aggregation or the CCA concept using rate increases as an excuse! WHAT PAP... Ratepayers only have to remember SCE and SDG&E taking billions of dollars from ratepayers to give to themselves and their shareholders after SCE destroyed San Onofre Unit 2 and 3. They even got the CPUC to make ratepayers pay for "lost profits". Time to call out our Utilities for all the giant donations they are giving to our decision makers to keep our electric rates around the highest in the USA despite our almost perfect weather!— May 1, 2018 4:17 p.m.
In search of state utilities commission's jugular...
Because both SCE and SDG&E donate so much money to our elected Officials, it is naive to think they are going to have change of heart until ratepayers/voters threaten to vote them out! Brown & Family are deeply into Energy and they are laughing all the way to the bank as CA ratepayers pay through the nose! The one thing that may change is if CA ratepayers demand that the CPUC allow the importing of ultra low cost CLEAN Energy from Mexico: Cheapest Energy on the Planet==>Solar/Wind Mexican solar power at 1.77¢/kWh – record 1¢/kWh coming in 2019, sooner | Electrek https://t.co/R2yQgGMgxG— December 10, 2017 8:27 a.m.
Community Choice Energy clears hurdle in San Diego
The NEW Billion $ Gas Fired plants money would keep SoCal in POLLUTION-FREE electricity for how long?— November 18, 2017 1:48 p.m.
Community Choice Energy clears hurdle in San Diego
What's coming unless SDG&E has it's way! Cheapest electricity on the planet is Mexican solar power at 1.77¢/kWh – record 1¢/kWh coming in 2019, sooner | Electrek https://electrek.co/2017/11/16/cheapest-electrici…— November 18, 2017 1:45 p.m.
Man breaches San Onofre perimeter
SCE and SDG&E (a 20% owner) want everyone to keep letting them take huge amounts of ratepayer money for doing a POOR job of managing the San Onofre complex! Since 1/31/12 when SCE caused the failure of San Onofre Unit 3 by running it over it's NRC "redline" and the CPUC looked the other way (thanks to a behind closed door deal between SCE and the then Chairman of the CPUC) ratepayers have been getting screwed. This incident is yet another reminder that anything less than perfection puts all of SoCal in danger!— September 15, 2017 8:43 p.m.
Senate bill sneak
Just like in DC, our California elected Leaders are selling us out while giving lip service to Greening CA. In reality they are all GREENING their own financial positions and themselves.— September 11, 2017 5:03 p.m.
Rick Perry joins environmentalists on San Onofre
A previous Chairman of the NRC (who is a World Class geologist and part of the Blue Ribbon team that looked atYucca Mountain) agreed that Yucca Mountain was unsuitable as a long term solution to US nuclear waste storage! What we have now is Rick Perry who also denies climate science deciding that Yucca Mountain is OK! Why take any chance on contaminating the Colorado River for the rest of our and our children's children's lives? The nuclear industry would love to have a nuclear storage depot so that they cannot only justify continuing to use nuclear but even add additional reactors to generate even more nuclear waste! Think Nuclear as us yet another Coal Industry that wants a bailout from President Trump! We cannot allow phony science and the CPUC to screw CA ratepayers again, remember how SCE created the multi billion San Onofre debacle that put all of SoCal at risk of a Fukushima and SoCal ratepayers got stuck paying for it because of a behind closed door deal between SCE and the CPUC! BTW: CA has a law that until there is a nuclear waste storage site there can be no more NEW reactors located in CA. Question: So guess who wants a nuclear storage site ASAP so that they can start adding even more SAFE new reactors? Answer: General Atomic and others!— June 22, 2017 6:05 p.m.
Secret meetings banned for public utilities regulator
Sounds like a baby step going forward but what about the multi-billion dollars that SCE and SDG&E should be paying for #SanOnofreGate ? The hashtag that will allow you to keep up to date on the ongoing investigation into the multi-billion $ SCE-CPUC ripoff.— September 30, 2016 3:41 p.m.
